St. Clair Health Earns ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group for Spring 2024
PITTSBURGH, PA (May 1, 2024) – St. Clair Health has earned an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade for the Spring 2024 period from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization committed to improving health care quality and safety for consumers. The Hospital Safety Grade is considered to be one of the gold standards for measuring patient safety in the United States.

Since 2012, The Leapfrog Group has assigned a semi-annual A, B, C, D, or F grade for nearly 3,000 hospitals nationwide based on their overall performance in keeping patients safe from errors, injuries, accidents, and infections. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public so consumers can quickly assess the safety of their local hospitals. It is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on prevention of medical errors and harm to patients.
