Westminster Place
A Better Place, a place to call home

New Article: A Better Place – Now Open!

Presbyterian SeniorCare (PSC) is easily spotted on Hulton Road – we can credit this to the beauty of Westminster Place – the “face” of our Oakmont campus since 1951. Westminster Place shines between the splendor of fall leaves and summer sun and is a picturesque scene during the holiday season with festive lights and traditional wreathes. Stepping inside and looking beyond the exterior, you find the heart of this Oakmont landmark.

The heart lies within the residents who call our personal care community home. The spirit lies within the staff that spends each day providing person-centered care to each individual resident as their needs change.

To keep the heart strong and the spirit alive, we have recently announced the A Better Place Capital Campaign to fund significant renovations to Westminster Place to create an updated, comfortable, home-like environment while still preserving PSC’s trademark quality of care. At the public launch of the campaign on November 2nd at a well-attended community Lunch and Learn event at Oakmont Country Club, the $2.5 million campaign goal was announced.

In order to fulfill our mission of offering the living and care options that our region’s seniors desire, the new Westminster Place will feature unique “neighborhood” wings where public spaces will encourage residents to be part of a larger social network. Residents will enjoy comfortable new private studios or one-bedroom apartments with in-apartment kitchenettes for small meal or snack preparation, in addition to formal dining room options. Each neighborhood’s “front porch”-style entrance will be a hub of engagement and interaction while an adjacent common area will serve as a spot for resident group meals or snacks, meals with family and friends and more.

Enhanced living areas. Common rooms designed to share memories. Smiling, caring faces to help residents age in place.

Welcome to Westminster Place – A Better Place, a place to call home.
