After 37 Years, We Still Run This Town
The Ohio Valley Hospital and Kennedy Township 5K Kicks Off May 12th!

Lace up your running shoes, slather on some SPF, and fill your water bottle, because it’s almost race time! Runners, walkers, and furry friends alike are all invited to the annual Ohio Valley Hospital and Kennedy Township 5K. Whether you’re trying to set a new PR or just want to enjoy a family activity, the hilly course- between Pine Hollow and McKees Rocks roads- is ready for you!

2018 marks the 37th anniversary of the race. There have been a lot of changes to our road race throughout the decades, but one thing remains the same: we continue to grow! This has become more than a community race; we attract participants and elite runners from all over Western Pennsylvania.

Join us on Saturday, May 12th, for this 5K run/walk for all age. Be sure to bring your pups and kids along, as we are a dog-friendly and stroller-friendly course! The 5K kicks off at 8:00 a.m. at the Hospital’s main entrance, while DJ Stormin’ Norman, brought to you by Rosedale Technical College, plays participants off onto the rolling hills course. Our Volunteers, participant families, and friends cheer as runners and walkers go by. Timing services are provided by Miles of Smiles, sponsored by Canon. The after-party will feature a delicious breakfast prepared by OVH’s Nutrition Services department, and the awards ceremony.

Prizes will be awarded to top overall runners and by age group. Our official race day dri-fit shirts, sponsored by OVH and Kennedy Township, Canon and Clearview Federal Credit Union, are guaranteed to the first 200 participants. Runners and walkers will also receive accompanying race packets full of local favorites, including 5 Generation Baker’s Jenny Lee Swirl Bread.

Register now at www.active.com or find out more information about the race from our website: www.OhioValleyHospital.org.

Packet pick-up will be available prior to race day at the Robinson EMS headquarters, located at 998 Church Hill Road, Robinson Township PA.

If you’re interested in being part of such a long-standing community tradition, please contact Megan Hinds at meaton@ohiovalleyhospital.org, or call 412-777-6365.

In 2018, we invite you to experience the fun and to #OVHRunThisTown with us!
