Kohl's Safety Center Opens

Families who will visit the center’s replica of a house learn how to use home safety products correctly and how to prevent injuries.
Children’s Hospital already operates a Kohl’s Safety Center at the main campus. It is the only facility of its kind in western Pennsylvania providing education and resources to families to help them stay safe at home and on the road. The staff works with families who are referred to the center, to complete detailed home safety assessments to make sure homes are safe for children. From learning how to use toilet locks, to installing and using safety devices on a stove, such as knob covers and burner shields, families can learn all aspects of home safety.
